Caryn and Rylan are all tucked in for the week. Jason took the week off and is busy taking care of his family so we decided to give them some space and hung out at home. Well, kind of.We spent a day at South Beach. Gorgeous sun, sand, and water, and with Francine and Gilles we also enjoyed a lunch of fish tacos at Nexxt on Lincoln Road.
Francine and Gilles are heading north on Friday, so they had a farewell dinner. We also enjoy their meals. We started with drinks and bleu cheese stuffed dates on the patio then moved inside to shrimp cocktail.
Gilles had made a special trip to Captain's Tavern Seafood Market because their seafood is beautiful and fresh. The tuna steaks were spectacular. Mitch made a wasabi marinade and grilled the steaks to perfection. It's fun to share the work too!
Eventually, after a couple bottles of nice wine, we ended our meal with chocolate fondue. Although we were stuffed by this time, we finished our plate!
