MNC Alex Rally--Sunday

All this fun had to end sometime, and sending everyone off after a hearty breakfast is just the thing. At the far end are Shirley and Rudy Rath who cohosted with Jeanne and Virg Batesole at the right. Then there are the trusty helpers, Clint and Evie Grove and Mitch.

Maritime Museum and Carlos Creek Winery

Friday was a busy day. The Maritime Museum had some interesting old boats. The one here is the only one left of the four that were made.

Visiting a winery isn't a bad way to end a busy day. I didn't know Minnesota had a winery with a storage cave!

Friday--MNC Alex Rally

Friday was a busy day, and of course, we started out by eating (which we did a lot of during the weekend). There's Jeanne finally having a chance to sit and enjoy herself.

Monaco North Central--Alexandria Rally

We started the Alexandria Rally at the home of Virg and Jeanne Batesole. Beautiful weather, great time.

Granny

So, we temporarily left Minnesota to visit Granny in Iowa, the land of corn fields and windmills.

"Cheers to you, Granny"! We enjoyed our visit.

Addy

Here's Addy at two and a half month, listening to to stories that Grandpa has to tell.

Stacy and Bryan

Busy kids are hard to catch and it's a good thing we could have a nice "lunch out" Monday afternoon.

We got to spend one more time with the Addy, and what a sweetie she is. Congrats to Sarah who has decided to take an extended leave from Lilli and will be staying home to take care of Addy and Shayne. Addy's happy! She loves her Mommy and Daddy.

Deb and Mike

We're on the move and spent Sunday evening with Deb and Mike at their house. We had some good eats, good conversation, and some good laughs checking out the old college yearbooks.

Shayne and Sarah's Cabin

Carol, Jim, Mitch, Grandma Agnes, and Tony on the deck just relaxing until eating time again. Even Addy enjoyed the great outdoors. And Max had a good time with room to play with his truck!

Big Sandy Lake from the deck of Shayne and Sarah's cabin.

This is lake side of the cabin, out on the deck--a great place to collect some sun, watch the lake, and have a family picnic. Shayne also dug a new fire pit up by the deck so we enjoyed some s'mores after our burgers.

Rainbow

We had one rainy morning at the lake, but the rainbow was spectacular.

We spent a little more time at Mille Lacs and left for Big Sandy for the weekend. We have a special little lot that the motorhome just fits in. We worked a little on the lot, built a firepit, and hopefully it will be ready for next summer.

Back at Mille Lacs

We're back at Mille Lacs for a couple of weeks, enjoying smores, a game of golf, just sitting and reading (or watching TV), and we'll make it in to the Cities to visit the kids and babysit Addy. Summer in Minnesota!

Sunset on Big Sandy--we had a great time, eating great food, being with great people.

Addy

Even Addy got in on the fun. She is one cute little girl--and as good as can be. She even enjoyed boating with Grandpa Jim, Grandma Barb, Grandpa Mitch, and Grandma Carol. Even the balmy 75ish degree water didn't bother her.

4th of July

Off to Big Sandy Lake and the Hanni cabin for some more FUN--eating, playing in the water, eating, sitting around the campfire, eating. We had parked the motorhome at Shayne and Sarah's cabin in a spot just the right size for "Our Place".
