Happy Birthday Judy!

Today is my sister Judy's birthday, but I don't have a picture of her. I'm told she looks and sounds a lot like me however. Happy Birthday Judy!!!

We did celebrate, but Archie and Faye invited us over for another birthday party, this time for 97 year old Miss Ruby. Faye (from church) loves to give parties and they are a great mix of her Jamaican friends and church people, but we all get along just great! They live on an avocado grove in the Redlands and she loves to share her garden goodies.

We also enjoy eating her Jamaican food. Today we ate Cows Feet and Spinners and Beans over Rice and Peas. Very good!!

Shuffbleboard Tournament

Another gorgeous day in paradise--perfect for shuffleboard. However, one of the guys said he never sees this group without drinks in their hands. So we decided something should be done about that! 10:30 am means Bloody Ceasars for Audrey, Bobby, and us.

A Day in the Keys

Pat and Donald and we got together and visited friends Bob and Carol in Tavernier on Plantation Key. We took a boat ride and saw some great sights.

We checked out the bay side, the mangrove forests and the marinas,

then went out to the ocean side.

The weather was perfect--blue sky, 80 degrees and sunshine, aqua blue water--perfect for an afternoon boating.

We had an appropriate lunch of seafood and beer, great conversation and a lot of fun.

Rylan Maddik, Child of God

Rylan was baptized this morning at Trinity Lutheran Church in Pembroke Pines. He was so good and looked so cute. Both boys handled church very well.

We had a wonderful celebration dinner of crab legs, pop-overs, grilled asparagus, and grilled potatoes.

Some time in Orlando

We headed up to Orlando to spend some time with Bob and Jo. Besides a whole day at Disney, we celebrated their anniversary with friends Anita and Lee and some very good seafood.

Happy Anniversary, Jo and Bob!

We left Ordando and got to Caryn's house for dinner. We knew we were in for a treat!
This is Luke and Ruth, Caryn's very good friends. Ruthie wanted to make a traditional Latin celebration meal for us and prepared a roasted pork shank with black beans and rice. For dessert she had made a flan. The food was fantastic, the wine wasn't too bad, the conversation was fun, and the company was the best!

Happy 90th Birthday, Dad

Dad is 90 years old today, and although in pretty good health, his dementia is taking its toll. We still have some good phone chats though. Hope you have a good day, Dad. I love you.

Happy Valentines Day

Mitch made a Valentine Dinner for our RV Park--his famous BBQ ribs, homemade potato salad, and baked beans for 42 of us. It all turned out really good.
