Catching up!

Okay, it’s been awhile since my good British friend, Jane, taught me the “Blog” business, but I figure it’s the best way to keep up with us as we speed down the road.

The last year (the first year of retirement) sped by--a quick synopsis:

June June 8, 2006 sees the end of school and the start of retirement.
July We stick around Minnesota June and July hoping the house sells.
August Off we go, the house isn’t sold, but we have places to go, Wisconsin and
Michigan are calling. The Rally in North Carolina begins the southern trek.
September We enjoyed North Carolina so much we stayed the month--from western
mountain country to the eastern coast. Caught the tail end of Hurricane Ernesto--wind and rain.
October We finally made it to Florida; spent the time in Thousand Trails-Orlando and
Thousand Trails-Peace River.
November Parked the “house” at Yacht Haven (Ft. Lauderdale) for the month but flew back to Minnesota for deer hunting.
December Started the month with a Carnival Cruise to the Caribbean, and had
Christmas with Caryn and Jason.
January We moved south to Florida City where we continued our summer.
January 31, 2007 We celebrated the birth of Brayden Taylor Smith, who entered the world at six pounds 12 ounces and 19 1/4 inches long!
February We are marveling at the wonder of a new grandson.
March Spring is coming, so we move back to Thousand Trails-Peace River and Thousand Trails-Orlando. We fly back to Minnesota to spend some wonderful spring weather there.
March 17, 2007 Bryan and Stacy get married in Maui!
April Goodbye to Florida. We’re heading north. We “do” the OnLine Campers
Rally in Sevierville, Tennessee.
May We spent some time with Barb’s folks in the St. Louis area, then time with
Mitch’s mom in Garner, Iowa.
