Rally Afternoons

by about 3:00 the work is done and the party starts. Yesterday it was wine and cheese, today it was a keg party. Here's the Minnesota group just hanging out. Of course they are dressed in the Hee Haw Ho Down duds we were all supposed to sport for the day!

And then...

Rally Days

The days are busy with seminars, looking at new coaches, having work done on our coach, and stuff like that. But...

The Parking Committee "Again"

When all the work was done, it was time to enjoy--and we did. In the back are Laura and John Fye, Jerry and Marilyn Jenkins, in the front Bob and Jane White, and us.

The Parking Committee

The morning started early with a meeting of all the parkers. We had to get 350 coaches parked easily and safely. Of course we had to discuss how that would get done. After the meeting we worked all day (well, almost all day) for three days to get the coaches into the fairgrounds, down the chute, and into their parking place.

Paul Evert's Party

We aren't done having fun yet! Paul Evert put on a very nice Mexican fiesta. Dan, Jerry, Audry, and Gerry seemed to be the big prize winners. Gerry is oh so surprised to see shy Audry's maracas! And Jerry and Audry are just being silly. This rally stuff is serious business!

Monaco Pre-Rally: Salem, Oregon

We've finally arrived and were able to park in a very decent little plot of ground--grass, trees, and cobblestone roads.

The Oregon Trail--Day 5

Today we traveled the Columbia River Gorge area and were able to make a few stops. I discovered I could take pretty decent pictures out the front window of the coach, so you can see Mt. Hood over Bill's coach. Here we are rolling down the road. Dan and Cari Mitchell with the Columbia River in the background.

We safely arrived in Salem and now the Monaco Pre-Rally begins!
