Rich invited us to the produce farm he works at and gave us a tour. It's amazing how it all works! And he sent us home with a sampling of produce. Beautiful! If you click on the produce, you can actually taste it!!!

Sutton, NE
Then we went house hunting. Mitch thinks this may be his grandparents house--have to check with his mom--it's across from the "new" swimming pool--is this the one, Mom?
Then we looked up some old teaching buddies from 34 years ago. Rich, Andrea, and Mitch all taught at Hope Lutheran School in Chicago. They lived upstairs from us in the apartment building and were great friends. Here they are with grandkids Lucas and Serenity.

On the Road Again--through Iowa
Iowa--a lot of scattered farms and flat farmland!
We spent some time with Mitch's mom, who with the encouragement of Mike (our brother-in-law and retired school social worker) and Bryan (our son and anthropologist) is writing her memoirs. At the age of 88, she uses the computer like a whiz and has just completed a section on her early life and education.
A Fond Farewell to Minnesota!
