Tuesday--Newport

We said " 'til next time" to Shayne, Sarah, and Addy as they left after breakfast to catch the plane back to the cities.

Brayden said, "Let's boogie. It's 80 degrees today and I need some sun." Actually we had been blessed with some nice days for our running around. So off we went to Newport. Lazing in the sun were some barking sealions. They are huge buggers!

Newport Crabbing

So it was off to the fishing/crabbing pier. The kids had a great time pulling up the crab traps and Stacy would jump up and down and squeal with delight if there was a "keeper". Even Brayden liked the crab!

Another good day!

The afternoon turned into a beautiful evening. We hauled in the crab, donned the jackets, watched the sunset and the full moon rise. Brayden thought it was a great day--but he missed his cousin Addy!

Blowing Glass Floats

For something different, we found a glass gallery that allowed a personal adventure in glass blowing. Bryan and Stacy are blowing their own float that ends up being teal and burgundy swirls. Caryn is watching a glass bead fall on the inside of her green and white glass float.

Painted Lady

Thursday night we went to dinner at a quaint little place called the Painted Lady. The food was exquisite and we had a great time. We missed having Shayne, Sarah, and Addy with us.

Nate Miller (a friend of Bryan's who lives in Portland) joined us for dinner and they took Bryan and Stacy home with him, where they enjoyed the next couple of days and a trip to Seattle.

Addy and Brayden

Just getting to know each other. "I just love my cousin!"

Addy

Addy had fun in Oregon too! She went on a beach walk that tuckered her out and there she is, sleeping. She also liked playing with her Oregon crab (would that be Grampa?)!
