Monaco Pre-Rally: Salem, Oregon

We've finally arrived and were able to park in a very decent little plot of ground--grass, trees, and cobblestone roads.

The Oregon Trail--Day 5

Today we traveled the Columbia River Gorge area and were able to make a few stops. I discovered I could take pretty decent pictures out the front window of the coach, so you can see Mt. Hood over Bill's coach. Here we are rolling down the road. Dan and Cari Mitchell with the Columbia River in the background.

We safely arrived in Salem and now the Monaco Pre-Rally begins!

The Oregon Trail--Day 4

It was a long day of driving through the mountains and we didn't have many places to stop. But after crossing Idaho, Washington, and arriving in Oregon, we found a campground and we ate, again.

Here's Pat and Bill Velch and Don and Janelle Zimmermann.

The Oregon Trail--Day 3

Breakfast at some truck stop along the way. Not much in the way of amenities, but we're having a good time. We have crossed Montana and the evening brings us to a nice little campground that is featuring a little blue grass for entertainment. Elaine and Jerry Peterson enjoyed the Huckleberry ice cream after the music.

The Oregon Trail--Day 2

We are on our way--we drive, we stop, we eat, we drive, we stop, we eat. It is kind of impressive to see six of these coaches all lined up at a rest stop. Here's Gerry and Audry Harpt and the whole gang eating again.

The Oregon Trail--Day 1

Six coaches have decided to make the trip to the Monaco Pre-Rally in Salem. The women have decided that with all of the extra time we will have while on the road, we will work on our "Rockettes" routine. I admit we need some practice. The men, on the other hand, are doing just fine standing up. We are caravaning from Minnesota and expect to travel about 350-400 miles a day--reaching Salem, Oregon by Thursday evening. And away we go!

Congratulations!

Just thought I should add that Bryan has taken on a new job in the Internet software business, that Caryn has started her own business called Home Dynamix, a business that helps homeowners sell their homes, and that Jason has just been promoted to Chef de Cusine at Table Eight Restaurant in South Beach, Miami.
